The Rise of the Asian Poker Tour: A New Era for Poker Tournaments in Asia
In a short span of time, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) has become a major player in the poker world tournament scene in Asia. The APT was founded in 2008 and has significantly altered the poker scene, incorporating players from all over the globe with its exciting lineup of tournaments. “Queuing (Education + poker promotion) up for poker in Vietnam had initially began in 2015/16 through the APT.” With a the mission to develop and promote the game of poker throughout Asia, China’s Yang has worked hard on growing their tour across Asia.
Vietnam Poker has been thriving and there are many tourneys across the country as the poker scene is booming in this beautiful country. The APT organizes numerous poker events throughout the year, including both local and international tournaments. Players attend these events not just to compete, but to potentially “cash,” i.e., score big prizes.
And again, the Asian Poker Tour focuses on the players’ enjoyment of their tournament playing experience, putting a lot of effort into to make sure everything is well-run and fun. With the popularity of poker on a rapid rise in the Asian region, the prospects for poker tournaments in Asia seem to be brighter and APT is leading this revolution.
